getting to know more of you

what you don’t have?

who cares.

what do you have right now, fam?

focus on cultivating that.

you were born a one of one.

there’s no one on this earth who is exactly like you.

your vision is uniquely yours.

your talents + gifts are unlike another.

your lifestyle, like your fingerprint, is extremely difficult to duplicate.

use your uniqueness to your advantage.

today, instead of focusing your efforts on being like anyone else,

instead of using other’s measuring sticks to define success,

instead of ditching what you have to get more of something someone else deems important + necessary,

allow us to get to know you more.

show us what it looks like to be you.

define success on your own terms.

add value to your life + the lives of others by using what you’ve got.

demonstrate what looks like to live life on your own terms.

you are whole + complete as you are, fam.

there’s no need to conform to what others believe you should be or anything of the like.

keep this one in your back pocket when you feel tempted erase the best parts of you:

I am enough as I am.

be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:

now that you’ve spent your life using other’s measuring sticks to define your successes, take a moment to figure out what success looks like to you now.

does it look the same as it always has? what, if anything, has changed about what success looks like in your life these days?
