is not knowing how really holding you back?

not knowing how to do something doesn’t have to keep you from starting.

look fam —

there was a point in time when you didn’t know how to tie your shoes, but with a little help from others your shoes stayed tied until you learned how to do it on your own.

same goes with learning how to speak + use words,

using spices + seasonings in your meals (cheat code: the ancestors will guide you if you’re listening 🤫🧂),

+/or learning how to parent —

you didn’t know how to do it before you did it, yet you figured it out + did it/are doing it anyway!

you know enough to pull yourself out of a situation + place yourself into another.

you know enough to read at least a few words off a page to get you started on that book.

you know enough about your current capabilities to ask for help when you need it.

you know how to do all of these things to get started, so what’s really holding you back from starting?

today, get out of your head + back to the basics.

the easiest way to learn how to do something is to actively pursue it.

ask questions.

deep dive into literature.

take action.

the results may not be exactly what you were expecting so you know what you can do in that situation?

ditch your expectations + go for it again.

you do yourself a disservice by overlooking all that you have to offer + deciding that it isn’t enough to be of service.

focus your efforts on creating the life that you desire to live by taking opportunities, by caring about what you do + why you do it, + by remembering exactly who the fuck you are!

it’s the dawn of a new day, fam.

years from now, centuries even, all that will matter is that you gave this life all you had + found a way to live it fully + on your own terms.

you’ve got what it takes!

make today count. 🖤

be you, be dope!
