… but have you asked?
suck your teeth if you wanna, but the question still remains:
have you asked?
people can’t read your mind, sis.
as much as we’d like for this to be a thing, they can’t.
you ever hear yourself on a playback of your voice —
a recorded voicemail
a song you sung your heart out to
an interview or podcast, etc.
+ thought to yourself, “who is this?”, “why do i sound like this?”, or “i hate my voice” ?
sometimes, when we aren’t used to hearing our voice a lot, it gets a little weird when we do hear it.
you know how to break free from those thoughts?
use your voice more.
hey listen: you have unmet needs that need to be fulfilled.
likewise, there are people out there who are ready to help you.
it’s not weak sauce to ask for help, nah.
what’s weak is allowing pride to get in the way of living life fully + completely; on your own terms.
get out of the habit of giving yourself crumbs + ask for what you know you deserve.
ain’t no more struggling, sis.
be you, be dope!

what’s the last thing you asked for + did you receive it? if not, what did you receive instead? how will you get what you want?
