it’s what it is whether they like it or not

every one has opinions + many of these opinions will be at odds with who you are at your core.

the approval or disapproval of others is of none of your concern.

i’ll say it again for those in the back who may not have heard exactly what was said:

when you fight against or strongly contest what others believe, it makes them want to dig their heels deeper into their position.

they want to prove to you that their opinion, viewpoint, +/or perspective deserves consideration — mainly + ideally yours.

one of the easiest ways to counter such strong opposing opinions is to simply accept that person’s stance.

a simple, “i can understand your point. thank you for sharing” can quickly diffuse a situation that otherwise may result in a back + forth full fledged argument or give the disapproving party ammunition to continue rattling off their disapprovals.

today + every day hereafter, live your life for your own approval.

do you even like what you’re doing right now? do you like where your life is heading? do you need to regroup, refocus, + recenter?

others will fall in line once they see that to you, their opinion is an opinion that is important to them.

march to the beat of your own drum knowing + accepting that others may not like what you’re doing + where you’re going, + that’s on them. this lifestyle shift right here is for you, fam.
