making the most of today with yesterday’s memory

what are you bringing with you today, fam?

resentment + sadness?

excuses + expectations?

hope, joy, + optimism?

in some capacity, yesterday will always remain with you.

it may present itself as a learned skilled,

a revelation,

an altered opinion,

or as a distant memory.

regardless of what yesterday gave you, you get to decide how you want to use it today.

maybe it gave you a bag of lemons or perhaps it chucked a ton of bricks at you.

in what ways can you use what you’ve been given to positively influence your life + to build upon your desired life experiences?

though you cannot change whatever happened to you yesterday, you have the ability to change how it effects you today.

today, decide what parts of yesterday you want to continue experiencing —

do you want to keep reliving the disappointments of yesterday?

do you want to continue maintaining that grudge + as a result, experiencing a hardened heart?

do you want to recycle the memory of who you were then + show up as that same person today?

you cannot control every thing that’s happened in your life, but you can control how these experiences continue to shape + mold you today.

what has happened has happened.

what will you gain from it + in what ways will you allow it to continue influencing your life choices?

the decision is always yours.

be you, be dope!
