making up for lost time

there’s no doubt that at one point or another in your life you had a schedule to uphold + a timeline in which to adhere.

+ it’s likely you still do subscribe to those schedules + timelines to some extent, fam.

when you feel like you’re running out of time or that you’re lagging behind, stop + remember that you’re on pace.

you aren’t behind, quite the contrary actually.

allow that sudden sense of panic you have to get all of the things done to serve as a reminder that in this moment, you’re ready to start.

maybe you stopped,

maybe you paused,

maybe you’re veering off course,

maybe you’ve decided to pivot —

ground yourself in this moment + start again.

the task is done when you’re done.

there’s no need to rush,

there’s no need to berate yourself into movement,

all you can do is start + keep going.

today, make up for lost time by simply starting.

you no longer have to wish you had started —

start now
.

you no longer have to rush yourself into getting something done before a certain time —

you’ve started now keep doing it.

you no longer have to question if you’re capable —

you’ve started, you’re doing it, so now keep going.

better yet, don’t just start.

since time is gonna pass anyway, do what you do with some passion + enthusiasm, too!

it’s one thing to start + feel obligated to do what you’re doing,

but what does it all mean if you aren’t enjoying the process, too?

what does life mean if you’re only living to make a living + not living to live?

fair to say that the easiest way to make time your enemy is to act as if it’s working against you.

all things, including time, are working for your highest good.

be a friend to time by pressing forward + by doing what you know must be done.

you are not behind.

you have time.

be you, be dope!

did you feel time working against you today? if so, in what ways can you use of your time more efficiently? if not, in what ways did you utilize your time today?
