you wanting your circumstances + situation to be different than the current is much different than you actually doing something about it.
wanting, wishing, hoping… those have their place.
their place isn’t as a placeholder for commitment to action.
here’s your daily reminder that this is your life, fam.
accept what is + when you don’t like what you see, change it.
“no ,it’s not as simple as that…”
but it is, sis.
all it takes is one change today; one decision to do something — anything — different than what you’ve been doing.
that can look like:
skipping the cookies today
starting your day with a glass of water
walking around after sitting for over an hour
laughing at yourself when you spill something
calling instead of texting your friend
apologizing for overreacting in the moment
but whatever you do, don’t put a cap on how impactful one small change can have on your overall well-being.
no one is asking you to end world hunger.
the ask is to do the local work starting with yourself.
as you grow in mastery of self, it can have the power the influence others to do the same.
but the goal is you —
work on you, do right by you, + honor the power you hold to change the course of your life at any given time.
be you, be dope!
