today, make the time you have here on this earth mean something.
add value to the passing moments by showing up fully + completely.
you don’t have to do the most to make the most impact in your life or in the lives of others.
taking a nap can benefit not only you, but it can support the wellbeing of others by not exposing them to a cranky, tired, restless tyrant on a mission to turn everyone’s world upside down because they need rest.
your value is inherent.
whatever you choose to do for yourself that will positively enhance your overall living experience, you are doing for the benefit of others, too.
you aren’t lazy for taking time for yourself —
for finishing that book you’re leisurely reading,
for zoning out with your headphones + moving your body to some dope tunes,
for finding a quiet corner + supporting yourself with a moment of silence,
or
for designating time to jot down your thoughts + ideas in your journal.
while none of the afore mentioned activities are considered lazy in my book (or by definition), engaging in these activities can sometimes pose a challenge to those who were told all their lives that they are “lazy” for taking time to relax their mind, body, + spirit.
shit… be lazy today, then!
while being meaningful + purposeful doesn’t have a certain look, it is attached to a feeling of accomplishment.
whether you’re advocating for + advancing world peace through nap time,
are protesting front + center on the picket lines,
or
are preparing for a busy day at your place of business,
your intention behind the work is what increases your value + marks your time here on earth as “well spent”.
do the work, fam + spend your time wisely.
be you, be dope!
