every single time you set out to make improvements on yourself or to improve your current situation, you will be met with opposition in some way, shape, form, or fashion.
push through, fam.
the resistance you’re incurring is a part of the process.
are you serious about this or not?
do you actually want to see the change or are you blowing smoke?
how bad do you want it + what are you willing to sacrifice for it?
nothing about changing is ever easy + guess what?
by design, challenges are not intended to a cakewalk.
rather, challenges present us with the opportunity to change the course of our lives.
this type of opportunity is rarely as straightforward as we’d like for it to be, yet we know on the other side of our current conditions is everything we’ve ever wanted for ourselves.
so, what can we do to push through?
first, accept what is right now.
acknowledge the situation for what it is + accept what’s happened.
next, decide you want different + determine which direction you’d like to go.
for intentional change to occur, you have to know where you’re going.
lastly, take it one step at a time.
do what you can with all that you have. take the smallest step you can, find your footing, + then proceed with another… + another… + another!
give yourself ample grace, surround yourself with a support system, + keep telling yourself that though the opposition is strong, you’re stronger + indeed, more creative than anything formed against you.
today, look your opposition in the face + tell it two simple, yet empowering words:
game on!
be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:
recall when you allowed a challenge to get the best of you, so much so that you took a step back. what happened then?
now that you know what you know now, are you willing to regroup + go for in for another attempt? why or why not?
if not, what is that you desire most now? what are you willing to secure it?
