one foot in front of the other

one foot in front of the other,

keep going, + don’t look back.

those words sound encouraging, but when you’re in the thick of shit they can sound like false positives —

you know, the words that people say as fillers to inspire hope, yet our circumstances make it hard to process these as truths so we see them as weapons of positivity vs. words of encouragement.

forgive yourself for even thinking about giving up on yourself + giving into excuses.

forgive yourself for not knowing what you didn’t know + the mistakes you’ve made along the way.

forgive yourself for forgetting who the fuck you are — it was a lapse in memory, fam.

today, realize the power you have to persevere.

nothing + no one can stop you unless you give them permission to stop you.

it’s not about the pace, it’s about your progress.

to progress, all it takes is you taking one foot in front of the other.

when in doubt, when fear creeps in, when excuses are on the verge of escaping your tongue, remember to keep going + don’t look back.

you’ve got what it takes to not only live life on your own terms, but to experience a full + rich life.

keep going + don’t look back,

all it takes is one foot in front of the other.

be you, be dope!

what do you want to experience in your life right now? what are you working towards experiencing in your life right now? compare your answers to both questions — do they overlap in response? are you doing what is necessary to live the life you want to experience? explain how you intentions match your actions.
