opening yourself to the beyond

you can go above + beyond anything you think you can do when you believe that you can do it.

when you let go of your expectations + limiting beliefs, you can accomplish some dope things, fam.

success requires effort + the level of effort you decide to give in any given situation is up to you.

you get to choose what you’ll do + to what extent you’ll do it.

you get to decide how far you’ll go + with what intensity you’ll give.

today, open yourself to the beyond.

allow your efforts to surpass any hard stops you’ve put on your actions before this moment.

maybe you clean often, but today you’ll attempt something you haven’t done before such as thoroughly cleaning out your dishwasher (i’m talking taking it apart + deep cleaning), or maybe you’ll spend a little coin + hire a cleaner for your cleaning needs.

maybe you cook often, but today you’ll attempt a recipe that mimics a meal at your favorite restaurant or one that introduces you to something you’ve never tasted.

maybe you read often, but today you’ll attempt to read a book that delves deeper into a topic that you usually avoid due to societal pressures + directives, + find yourself learning something different.

how do you know what you’re capable when you limit what you do?

drop the expectations, allow your imagination to run free, + give yourself the opportunity to experience life beyond your safe zone by putting in the effort, by making the choice, to live life a little different today.

be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:

what’s something you did today that you gave more effort into doing than you have before? did it change the outcome? if yes, how so? if no, what did you enjoy (if anything) about the process + effort you put into it?

do you believe it is worth your while attempting something new? why or why not?
