even your biggest accomplishment to date doesn’t speak to the totality of your life.
it is merely a small fraction of what you are capable of doing.
your life is more than your perceived successes.
it’s definitely much fuller + richer than any award +/or certification ever bestowed upon you.
today, imagine what you can do now.
imagine what you can accomplish now with the experiences you’ve had, the knowledge you’ve gained, + the skills you have acquired to date.
there is so much more to do, so much more to learn, + so many more ways to grow.
your past accomplishments were something, but they weren’t + aren’t everything there is to understanding + appreciating you.
without those, you’d still be a force.
without those, you’d still be worthy of love + admiration.
don’t get caught in the past thinking that you have to match or top anything you did then.
get into now + understand that you have an opportunity today to accomplish all that you want to accomplish + more — the possibilities are truly endless.
you are not defined by your past successes.
rather, you are appreciated for your willingness + openness to continue living a rich + full life, for loving without limits, + for cherishing each day as if it’s your last.
the life you live matters.
moments have come + gone, but nothing compares to this very moment right here, right now —
because it’s in this moment that you can choose to live the life you’ve always wanted to experience.
it’s in this moment you can choose to fully live.
be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:
do you define yourself by what you’ve accomplished?
when you introduce yourself to others, do you lead with a list of accomplishments? i.e. where you went to school, where you work, the title(s) you hold, your latest accomplishment, etc.
introduce yourself with the accolades today. instead, use your characteristics as a way to describe who you are. i.e. i am a great listener, i love big + boldly, etc.
looking back, describe your experience of describing yourself without accolades.
