rise to the occasion

whether you asked or wanted to be in the situation are you in now doesn’t really matter.

you’re in it now, fam.

even if you’re aren’t feeling it, act like this is the best place to be right now.

why?

well, you aren’t anywhere else so why not make the best of it?

plus, you now know exactly where you don’t want to be + can move in a way today that ensures this situation can be a place of the past!

dreading your current situation won’t help.

abhorring hate in your heart over your current circumstance will only continue to make you feel a way about it all.

accepting that this moment is where you are is a peaceful place to be.

in that peace is where you can find a way out + a way forward.

imagine, for a moment, how someone may look frantically flapping around in a shallow puddle all because they thought it was deeper than it really is.

imagine, now, that the person calmly stands to see the puddle is ankle height at best + have chosen to carefully walk through, out, + away from the mess they were in.

no, you didn’t ask for any of this.

but if you are willing, you can rise to the occasion.

the difference between your life right now + the life you want lies in a decision to change your mindset; your perspective about your present predicament.

all it takes is for you to start where you are.

be you, be dope!
