who you are today is dependent on who you want to be.

what allows you to be who you desire to be is 1) affirming that you are who you say you are + 2) living as if you are that person.

you wanna be an early riser who has a solid morning routine?

you wanna be someone who listens intently to others + doesn’t cut them off while they are talking?

you wanna be slow to anger? 

you wanna be someone who is emotionally available?

be that.

how can i be who I’m not?”, you ask.

well i ask, why can’t you be that person?

step one is affirming that you are who you say you are.

i am an early riser.

i am an awesome listener.

i am patient + kind.

i am vulnerable + open.

next, spring into action!

wake up earlier than you did yesterday so you’ll have time to get your day started in the way you want to start it.

listen when others speak + pause before you respond.

feeling yourself getting red with anger? take a breath. ask yourself if the situation is worth a response before proceeding to offer one.

open up about how you’re feeling. ask for what you need. allow yourself to not be “okay” all of the time.

you deserve to live up to the challenge of being who you say you are.

you’re dope AF now, won’t be able to tell you shit when you start doing life how you wanna! 😝
