stop striving to have a better life

please, for the love of all things dope, stop striving to have a better life.

you’ve set so many goals for yourself, each one requiring a significant amount of toiling, of hustling, of non-stop effort to make your life “better”.

you’re wearin’ yourself out, fam.

not only are you constantly in motion, striving hard + doing all of the things, you are hard pressed to reach your goals + that leaves little to no room for you to simply be.

today, live your life with labels.

don’t worry about what is right or wrong,

don’t worry about if you’re on the “right” path,

don’t even worry about the optics of how life looks at this time in your life.

stop striving for shit + simply be who you are.

too many times have you missed out on the present moment because you’re thinking about what the future holds.

you’re working too damn hard + too damn much, + it’s all for what, fam?

the look of living a full + rich life?

slow down, stop taking shit so seriously, + see how dope life is, .

sit, observe, + appreciate all that life is right now.

you are tired because you won’t stop striving, you won’t stop trying to make life better, when life is already as good as it gets.

see beyond your immediate circumstances + learn that the beauty in life — the life that you so desperately want to experience — is available to you with or without you slowing down to take notice.

life is too short to stew in anger, to constantly work toward something, + to condemn life for what it is.

you ain’t gotta strive to make this world a better place, be you — the dope person you are — + live a life that aligns with the most authentic version of you.

be you, be dope!
