take the time you deserve

you’ve carved out time to work + time to cater to every one else’s needs,

but where is the time for you to enjoy life?

we have these schedules that tell us what we’re doing day by day.

it shows when you’ll eat, when you’ll pick up/drop off, when you’ll send that email…

but where’s the time that you sit + simply enjoy life?

of course once you’ve obligated yourself to do something, following through is the best recourse.

however, don’t forget about the person who is doing all of this work — when are you taking time for yourself + enjoying being?

today, give yourself space to breathe, to be free, + to be present.

if it encroaches on the time you’ve set aside for yourself, don’t worry about none of that shit that didn’t get done in the timeframe you allotted for it to get done.

you deserve to enjoy life without stressing about what happened before or happens next, fam.

give yourself the space to be here, right now, + live the enjoyable life you deserve to experience.
