the first step to success is this

the first step to success + achievement is disappointment.

when you are interested in reaching your goals, there must also be interest in learning.

how do we learn, fam?

we fumble.

we fail.

we fall.

we flub.

we forgive.

we forge forward.

with fortitude.

that’s what we do.

because if you know enough to experience fallout, you know enough to figure out what not to do as you continue down your path of achievement.

you’re pivoting, you’re putting in effort, + you’re gaining experience as you gain perspective, skill, + knowledge along the way — you’re learning.

using what you have to get what you want is a peaceful protest, an act of resistance + resilience that only proves that:

1) you’ve got what it takes to get what you want in life

2) no one can keep you from what you want to experience in life but you.

you will be disappointed with some of your choices + will dislike some experiences, + guess what? oh well — that’s life!

don’t overlook your commitment to the cause —

the reason why you feel disappointment isn’t due to a lack of effort or because you’re giving up,

it’s because you care, you’re determined, + you’re on the path of success.

be you, be dope!
