the pain can last you a lifetime

there is nothing more painful than the pain that comes from regret.

reflecting on the times when you didn’t take action can cause a great deal of hurt + agony, + riddle us with unnecessary stress + worry.

fam, hear this + hear this well:

there is nothing you could have done then that you cannot do now.

okay, so the opportunity switched up — so what?

the possibilities are still endless + life is still happening for you in real time, fam.

all right, you aren’t as young as you used to be —

guess what? you still have time. you still have today. do it now.

there may have been words left unsaid, hauntings of hugs that never transpired, or forgiveness that was never granted —

so, say what needs to be said today,

hand out hugs like hotcakes (don’t forget to add the love),

+

forgive yourself, forgive others, + forgive freely + frequently.

how we do away with the agony of regret is by taking action today.

we cannot change the past, yet we can change our today which can in turn change our futures.

the pain of doing something in the moment is temporary.

however, the pain of not doing it can last you a lifetime.

be you, be dope!
