try this experiment:
today, when you hear a question, don’t bother answering it or rationalizing it.
in fact, you’d be hard pressed to find someone who sits on a question, ignores it completely, + doesn’t even begin to formalize an answer to it.
due to the phenomenon known as “instinctive elaboration”, your brain is wired to answer a question when its posed to you.
did you know you had this super power, fam?
whether you did or didn’t, make use of it today + give way to your brain working out solutions for you by asking yourself some very necessary questions:
- what is my purpose for doing ____?
- what do i hope to gain from doing ____?
- does ____ align with who i am at my core +/or support who i am (becoming)?
- am i being kind?
- am i doing it with love?
- does this require a response right now? etc. etc. etc.
how you phrase your questions matter, too.
don’t go around bashing yourself, asking yourself wild shit like why you’re such a fuck up, why no one rocks with you, or why you aren’t where you’re “supposed to be” in life.
those questions undermine your process + impede on your progress, fam.
you are so much more than your current circumstances + situation, so give yourself grace by asking “what am i doing now to align with the outcome/lifestyle that i most desire living?“
we talk a lot about the solutions, but as you can see the questions are not only as important, they are completely unavoidable to answer by nature.
today, come face-to-face with who you are + ask yourself: who am i showing up as today + does this version of me support the version of me i’d like to be + see?
be you, be dope!
