the purpose of our past

what is failure?

now that you’ve experienced yesterday, what did you learn from it?

what lessons can you bring with you into today?

the purpose of our past is to lend perspective to the present.

you have seen first hand what has worked out for you + what you can improve, fam.

don’t focus on a complete overhaul, think small.

what’s one small tweak you can make today that makes sense for the lifestyle that you most desire?

small tweaks today may look like:

  • dedicating 5 more minutes to quiet time
  • ending a conversation when gossip is involved
  • walking mindfully with some pep in your step
  • owning your mistake while also extending grace to yourself
  • removing your phone from your nightstand at night
  • opening your window(s) for 15 minutes to circulate fresh air in your house/room
  • reading a label on a product before purchasing +/or using

whatever small changes you make today, realize that if one or none of them are working for you, you have other options.

the beauty of the past is that it brings today into perspective.

there is a lesson to be learned in everything you do.

it doesn’t take much to realign, fam; however, it will require your attention + your intention to stay true to you.

be you, be dope!
