the results of today’s experiment

try this experiment today:

take what you believe to be true about yourself, others, +/or life + put that belief into action.

example: you proclaim daily (through affirmations) + believe that you are accepting + embracing change.

today, show exactly what it looks like to accept + embrace change in your life by gracefully accepting + embracing change as it occurs —

gracefully is the operative word here, fam. 😅

another example: you wholeheartedly believe that unwavering faith can move mountains + get you to places you’ve yet to experience.

demonstrate unwavering faith today by believing in yourself + doing all of the things you’ve put off doing because you felt you weren’t ready yet, or that you didn’t have enough resources or support to get the job done.

our belief system is the beginning of a new walk of life for us.

for so long we’ve held onto these “truths” that have shaped + molded what us believe about ourselves, about others, + about life in general that they’ve started to make up our core identities.

what’s even more perplexing about our belief system is that much of what we believe to be true is only anecdotal evidence —

we uphold the belief of one person’s experience, believing that what they experienced encapsulates the full experience + then use their experience as a basis to justify our own actions (or lack thereof) even when we have never tested that belief + made certain that it is, in fact, a belief of our own 😮‍💨

basically, today is a “don’t talk about it, be about it” type of day.

don’t say you believe in individual autonomy when you’re steady tryna change who that person is to fit the mold of who you think they should be.

don’t say you believe in the power of meditation, prayer, +/or silence when you don’t even give yourself a moment to sit still + practice any of this daily.

don’t say you believe in yourself when you are constantly doubting your abilities, talking down on yourself, + second guessing who tf you are.

at some point, you must walk it like you talk it, fam.

luckily for you, today can be the moment that you turn your beliefs into certain reality.

be you, be dope!
