you waking up feeling the exact same today as you did yesterday may not come as a total surprise to you.
seriously — besides maybe having fresh bedsheets + a new toothbrush 🤨, life may present itself the same as it did a few hours ago.
there is something different about today, though.
one: no matter how strongly you feel about it, you are not the same today as you were yesterday,

two: this day holds something that needs your immediate attention + recognition as it can change the course of your life as you know it.
the significance of this day is in what you make of it.
it’s not in the rah-rah new year rituals or in carrying out a new routine —
though you may decide to embrace a new way of life today the requires you to participate in your life in ways you haven’t before 🙃
it’s not about the goal setting or doing things for the sake of saying you did them to start the new year —
though you may find that doing these things can significantly shift your mindset + provide you with the foundation you’ll need to consistently show up as your best self 🤗
it’s not about the actual calendar date —
though it can present itself helpful in remembering the day that you decided to change your life 😉
appreciate the uniqueness of today.
today is a once in a lifetime opportunity to do something new, something different, + something that aligns with who you are at your core.
today, you have the distinct opportunity to fully embrace the innocence of this day.
thankfully, today hasn’t been tainted by the limited views that, up until now, you’ve upheld about life (specifically your life) + what that can look like for you 😮💨🙌🏾
expand your way of thinking + broaden your life experiences by deciding to live with vigor, to live with curiosity, + to live on purpose.
you owe it to yourself to steer your life in the direction you’ve always wanted to go + you can do that for yourself one step at a time.
