there is something valuable to extract here

find joy in all that you do.

you may not want to complete a certain task or face a certain challenge + that’s perfectly fine to have those feels, fam.

i do wonder though —

will you find more enjoyment + pleasure when you’re moving with gratitude + purpose or when you’re moving painfully out of obligation?

there is something valuable to extract from any + all that you do.

when you’re moving with intention, what you choose to do is aligned with who you are at your core — your desires, your dreams, + your passions.

therefore, the challenge set before you isn’t there to trip you up + make an example out of you, fam.

it’s there to remind you that you are equipped with all the tools to do what must be done.

you also get to choose how you want to experience life in that moment —

do you want to smack your lips, roll your eyes, + complain nonstop throughout the task? does that seem enjoyable to you?

today, remind yourself that doing your best is an option.

you don’t have to pretend that you like what’s happening, no — it’s not about that.

living a full + rich life is about giving your best efforts to elevate your life experiences.

you won’t get this time back, fam, so why not have a positive attitude, move with intention + ease, + accept the challenge at hand by completing it with all that you’ve got + truly enjoying it?

think about it.

be you, be dope!

  1. For me, the hardest part about starting a difficult task,is the fear of not doing it perfectly. I had a professor that absolutely crushed me when all I wanted to do was please her. I wanted to show her that I was worthy of her time. It’s been 30 years, she has apologized, and she died, but I am stillL haunted. Logically, I know that the ordeal lives only in my head and only in the past and I am the only one keeping it alive-blah, blah, blah. The young woman who needed/wanted her approval still allows her voice space in my head
