your fears + doubts will tell you a story about yourself that is quite… ridiculous (if i’m putting it nicely).
they will have you believing that you ain’t shit,
you can’t do shit,
you won’t ever be shit,
+ that all you touch + do turns to shit.
+ none of that shit is true, fam.
from birth, you’ve known yourself to be a capable person, amirite?
you’ve learned how to crawl, walk, speak, write, read, … i mean really — we can go on + on about your capabilities, fam.
those abilities + skills you’ve picked up along the way have gotten you far in life —
how do you think you’ve managed to get to this point without knowing how to do something?
of course by believing in yourself, but i challenge you to take it a step further today:
put into practice what you believe yourself to be + live the life you’re most capable of living.
you believe you can run a mile, become a person who runs a mile.
you believe you can cook, become a person who cooks for their family.
you believe you can be a great friend, be a great friend, then.
you believe you can change the world, become a change agent in this world.
belief is half the battle, fam.
you can believe in yourself all day long, but what are you gonna do about those beliefs?
when are you going to prove them to be the truths you walk in daily?
when are you going to stop talking about it + start being about it?
you are capable of dope things.
now it’s time to cast those fears + doubts to the side + showcase just how capable you are.
be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:
you say you wanna learn something new — what is keeping you from learning it? you know you’re capable, you have the skills + intelligence, so what gives? when are you going to stop talking about it + start being about it?
