to be exceptional, one must be this

what most people would do in your situation ultimately isn’t your concern.

what are you doing, fam?

what would you like to see happen + are your actions supporting what you want to experience?

far too often we get caught up in what others think, say, + do that we conflate their ideas with our own.

we fully embrace their self imposed laws, limits, + expectations, using them to dictate the way we choose to live our own lives even when what they think, say, + do doesn’t align with who we are + how we want to experience life.

in times where we get caught up in the status quo, we must remember:

though we are the same in many ways, they not like us.

we are exceptional, fam.

+ to be exceptional, we must choose to be ourselves.

therefore, you don’t have to worry about what everyone else chooses to do —

do your best,

do what’s just + right (yes, even when people are spewing hate talk in a hive mentality),

+ decide the ways you want to add lasting value to this world.

don’t worry about the degrees, the certificates, or the accolades that prove to others that you are who you say you are.

those things are merely bells + whistles — extraness if you will — because listen: being yourself is enough!

deep down inside you know; you can feel purpose + passion tugging at your heart strings + surging through your veins.

legacy, the value that you leave behind, is found in connecting with your why, in doing what aligns with purpose on purpose, + in honoring your exceptionality by being unapologetically you.

be you, be dope!
