you possess a unique ability, fam —
*calls you close + whispers to you* you… can change shit.
there’s a lot of shit you can change, too —
who you hang with,
your perspective,
where you work,
your attitude,
the conversations you entertain,
your ends + dividends,
— shit, you can change your entire life, sis! 💯
for example, 20 minutes ago i felt a way.
now, 20 minutes later, that feeling is long gone.
i feel different, you know why?
*stares in flex* i changed my mood. 😎
we often underestimate or overlook our superpower that is change.
it’s not like we went out here fighting villains… or are we?
because thoughts make things.
they shape + mold our perspectives that, when projected, are responsible for creating our realities.
though negative thoughts arise, we don’t have to invite them to stick around for a kickback.
with that in mind, i pose a question: can we really create significant change the world by living life on our own terms?
hell yea, we can!
change is not as complex as we want to make it.
small shifts are impactful + can absolutely alter the way we journey through life.
a mood shift is just a start.
a better mood increases the likelihood that one will project kindness in interactions with others, which can inspire others to change their mood, etc. etc.
all it takes is one small act.
regardless of what’s thrown your way today, take note of your shapeshifting capabilities + use them to your advantage!
you can change the course of your life this very second all while enjoying the present moment.
believe that your life has already changed, that you are living that changed moment this very instant, + how dope this change feels.
be present.
be persistent.
be the change.
be you, be dope!
