how do you know when something is meant for you?
when an opportunity presents itself, what tools do you use to discern whether or not the opportunity presented is viable + makes sense for you?
👀 i don’t really think you want to know the answer to that, though, fam.
i think you have another question in mind + are afraid to ask it.
what you actually want to know is this:
am i deserving of this opportunity?
to that question i reply with this answer:
why wouldn’t you be, fam?
now that that is out of the way, when considering an opportunity, further investigate whether it:
1 — aligns with your core values
2 — offers a pathway of getting you where you’d like to be or embodies a lifestyle that you would like to experience
3 — gives you space to grow, learn, + show up differently than you are now +/or in a way that supports who you are at your core
no longer do you need to second guess your qualifications or whether or not you deserve.
an opportunity presents itself because to some degree you are capable of fulfilling the task.
it doesn’t mean you have all the skills, knowledge, or training to do all that is asked of you in the moment —
it means that you are capable of figuring out exactly how to make it happen.
being built for an opportunity doesn’t mean the opportunity is for you.
contrary to accepting any opportunity that comes your way, the task may look like walking away because sometimes the opportunity is the conviction + contentment that comes with saying “no“. 🤷🏾♀️
so are you deserving of the opportunity? yes, absolutely. without question.
does the opportunity align with your core values? that’s a question only you can answer.
be you, be dope!
