run faster than you’ve ever ran before,
climb higher than you’ve ever climbed before,
accept + love on others more than you’ve ever done before + you’ll experience a weird phenomenon called resistance.
it won’t be that you’re resisting, or you are less persistent, or you are not wanting to move forward — nah.
instead, resistance will show up as a force seemingly working against you to slow you down to a place of discouragement or to stop you altogether.
but that’s not why resistance is showing up, fam.
resistance is making an appearance because it’s teaching you how to move in the face of adversity.
running faster requires more oxygen intake.
it can trigger soreness in our bodies + can lead to general fatigue because, in the moment, our bodies are less equipped to handle the new demands we’re placing on it.
however, at not time does that mean we can’t do it or that running faster is not an attainable goal.
you can feel fatigued + experience soreness, + still conquer your goals (all while gasping for air 🫠).
resistance teaches us we must learn to adapt to + look beyond our current circumstances + find ways to continue persisting.
love, peace, + joy are forms of resistance because it’s not easy to uphold them when we are facing hard times; however, experiencing hard times it doesn’t mean love, peace, + joy don’t exist in its midst.
today, use resistance to your advantage by taking it easy, slowing down, + reclaiming your calm.
snails pace is still a pace. it’s still forward motion + it still requires work.
consistently work toward your goals + don’t let up because you may be facing resistance.
to get to the places you’ve never been + to do the things you’ve never done, you will experience discomfort, you will encounter resistance, + to build your endurance, you will have to remain consistent.
keep going, fam.
be you, be dope!
