when life’s riddled with regrettable thoughts

the difference between “try” + “do” is rather simple.

when you are trying, you are usually unsure of your capabilities so much so, you don’t fully commit to the process or put yourself out there.

however, when you are doing, you go for what it is you’re going for no questions asked.

plain + simple, when you commit to doing something your effort matches your determination because you are committed to getting it done.

today, don’t try, do it.

put your heart + soul into whatever you’re faced with today + don’t second guess yourself.

you are fully capable of getting whatever it is done.

the fact that your timeline isn’t matching yours or other’s expectations doesn’t mean it won’t get done.

the fact that you are learning as you go doesn’t mean you aren’t making progress.

the fact that you’ve never done this before doesn’t put you at a disadvantage or resolve that you aren’t capable of pulling it off.

do what you do without judgement, fam.

trying indicates that you are expecting a certain outcome + whatever you attempt is likely to be riddled with regrettable thoughts.

doing reflects that no matter the outcome, there is a level of effort you are committed to uphold + you’re going to do all that you can to get what must be done, done.

when you look back on all you’ve done today, you’ll realize there’s no room for regret, no room for wishing, + no room for hoping you did something about your life —

because today you didn’t simply try to take action, you decided to do something about it.

you did that!

be you, be dope!

do you feel the need to reduce your efforts to “i tried” when speaking on what you’ve accomplished? why or why not?
