between fighting + forgiving, which one are you more inclined to choose?
for you, does what you choose depend on the person? the circumstances? the situation?
does continuing the fight serve your higher purpose? what about forgiveness?
who or what are you fighting against today? will forgiveness transform the relationships or situation + if so, in what ways?
be who you say you are when no one is around to check you, fam.
stand strong, tall, + in alignment with the person you claim you are + portray yourself to be when no one is around + regardless of the person, circumstances, or situations that may arise.
+ let’s not get it twisted, there are times when fighting is absolutely necessary —
’cause you gone see me real clear when it comes me + mines when it comes to just + right causes, okay?
but the reality is this: fighting requires a lot of exerted energy.
it is exhausting + can make you feel very heavy, oh so overwhelmed, + extremely anxious so doing it when it’s unnecessary can really take a toll on your physical, mental, + spiritual wellbeing.
i mean really: who wants to be in flight or fight mode all the damn time?
today, practice forgiveness over fighting.
don’t pick your way into an argument + for all that’s special + precious to you, don’t go looking for a reason to square up with someone — save the drama, fam!
when someone commits a transgression against that is a forgivable offense — check them (respectfully, if you must) + forgive them.
the best revenge is forgiving + experiencing all of the joy, the love, + the peace life offers in the moment.
no one can rob you of a full + rich life, but rather your temper can keep you from experiencing the life you deserve.
when you feel your temper flaring, your voice rising, + your fingers contracting into a ball, remember that your energy is precious, forgiveness is an option, + your best life needs your immediate focus.
move forward in forgiveness.
be you, be dope!
