here you are, eye-to-eye with a staircase.
the sign at the bottom says, “the only way out”.
you see people going up, but no sooner than they go up, they all come back down.
“the climb is too steep”, one states.
“it’s impossible to see where the next step leads”, shares another.
“there were too many people on my step, so i came back down to wait”, points out another.
what’s your move, fam?
more people are crowding at the bottom of the stairs.
you have the opportunity to go up the stairs or stay put.
what do you do?
now, even more people are crowding the stairs.
some are moving up a step or two, while majority are staying put making the space a little uncomfortable, but still manageable.
… so, what do you do, sis?
the more you observe the room, the more you see a select few leave + never come back.
on the ground floor, though, someone cues some music + there’s a big party ensuing (yes, a party) at the bottom of the stairs!
everyone’s having a good ass time, vibin’ out, sharing laughs + stories…
where are you in all of this?
this is where you takeover the story.
you’ve gotta decide how this plays out, sis.
though this message is fictional, your real life is not
+ like real life, you have choices that you’ve gotta make with the given information + the opportunities presented to you.
staying or moving is a decision you have to make for yourself.
will you take a step?
do you stay to party?
that’s not up to me —
since you’re the author of your own dope ass story, this one falls on you.
be you, be dope!
