who’s not going through something?

why is there such a push to celebrate the small wins?

well, first of all… life be lifin’.

we struggle.

we fall short.

we fail.

at the same time, we thrive, we survive, + we do some dope ass shit!

when life’s up, it’s stuck.

when it’s down, it can get downright discouraging.

you’ve seen yourself in a funk before… hard times, ainnit?

so, what can you do to rise above the “woe is me” attitude?

you work at it.

you keep moving.

you step back + see the bigger picture.

you assure yourself that you’re safe + okay in the moment (if you aren’t, call 911).

you realize you are human + our human experiences are riddled with ebbs + flows + it’s nothing personal.

you accept life for what it is + you keep fuckin’ going.

you do whatever it takes to be gentler, kinder, + more encouraging to yourself + others.

you celebrate what comes your way — good, bad, or indifferent (there’s always a lesson, fam. always).

’cause who’s not going through something?

shit, ain’t me + ain’t you.

we all are.

so why not celebrate the dopeness in your life?

celebrate where you are now.

you’ve come a mighty long way, fam.

that type of tenacity deserves some appreciation.

be you, be dope!
