you can + you’re choosing not to

today, every time you have the urge to say:

  • i can’t
  • this is too hard
  • it’s impossible
  • there’s no way
  • life sucks

or anything self deprecating, pause.

close your mouth + stop the thoughts dead in their tracks.

take three deep breaths, + reframe:

  • i can + i’m choosing not to ___________ (or choosing to attempt __________)
  • though i’m unfamiliar with the process now, i can figure something out to make this work.
  • anything is possible
  • there is a way + my way may not be the best approach right now. i’m willing to ask for help.
  • life is what it is, neither good or bad, it simply is. it is always working for my good.

your words + thoughts matter, fam.

what you say + think directly affects what you do + how well you’re able to do it.

you have a choice.

whether you can or can’t is a choice only you can make.

be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:

why can’t you, fam? ask yourself that the next time you say +/or believe you can’t. remember the goal, + even if you are not physically capable to do certain things in life, you can still live a life that supports your heart’s desires when you look for solutions outside of yourself.
