wrestling with your thoughts isn’t the way to get them out of your head, fam.
neither is begging them to leave or calling yourself ‘dumb’ or ‘stupid’ for having them in the first place.
thoughts constantly fill our heads all throughout our lives.
some thoughts recur so often that they become comfortable + consistent, leading us to believe that they are true.
but here’s the thing about thoughts, fam:
they are powerless without action.
when you are experiencing unwanted thoughts, do yourself a favor + release them.
no matter how long they’ve stayed on top of your mind,
no matter how entrenched they are in your daily thinking,
no matter how entangled they’ve become in your thought process —
meet them where they are,
acknowledge they exist,
+
give yourself permission to release them into the wild. 🍃
now once they are released, it’s uber important that you follow through with this part of changing your thoughts:
you must replace them with different thoughts —
thoughts that support your efforts, that align with the direction in which you’d like to go in your life.
these differing thoughts are intentional + mirror what you want to reinforce in the moment.
are your capable? are you courageous? are you creative? think + speak on these things, then! believe you are one dope human because that’s exactly who you are, fam!
will intrusive thoughts come into your mind? absolutely.
do you have to entertain them? absolutely not.
your doubts, fears, + worries are merely thoughts — powerless until you give them the go ‘head to exist beyond the realms of your mind.
familiarize yourself with positive thoughts by not only by thinking of them, but by reciting them often + by boldly + bravely acting upon them.
be you, be dope!
