your life as a first responder

when you’re aware that doing that one thing makes you forget who you’ve fought so hard to become + what you’ve learned so far, + inspires you to revert back to the person you left behind — remember:

who you are now is different than who you once were.

this different person thinks before they respond,

they check in with their emotions + feelings,

they are assertive + sure of themselves,

they give grace + forgive for their own sake,

+

they remember they are capable, + full of light + love.

there’s no need to avoid situations + circumstances you cannot control simply because you cannot control them.

there are plenty of situations, circumstances, people, + life happenings that are beyond what we can control that will still be a part of our lives…

that’s life.

today, focus on living your life proactively + not as a first responder.

taking action can be stressful, so imagine how overwhelming it feels taking action when you’re feel stressed + unregulated, raging + full of revenge —

sounds (+ likely looks) like a natural disaster.

give yourself permission to take a beat,

to pause, recover, + reclaim your composure,

+

then respond from a place of love, intention, + good will.

triggers are distractions + distractions are meant to trigger you to check in with your current state of being.

knowing you feel a way now doesn’t mean that you cannot notice how you feel + while feeling that feeling, resolve to feel a different way moving forward.

who you were was dope,

+

who you are now is even doper.

don’t give others the power to determine who you will show up as today.

choose who you are now, in the moment, + give yourself a chance to live in the highest vibration today.

be you, be dope!

why you giving these folks + situations so much power over your life?

don’t you know who you are?

remind yourself exactly who you are now by writing it down here + now.
