you’re not new to this, you’re true to this!

you know it by the names of discipline, steadfastness, persistence, patience, + intention now,

but these aren’t anything new you haven’t explored before now.

you’ve been doing these actions for a long time, fam.

how do you think you learned how to roll over, walk, talk, or communicate your wants + needs over the years?

innately, you figured out what to do in the moment to yield you your desired results.

today, find your way back to fun while figuring it all out.

focus on what’s important to you + what must be done in the moment to get you to where you’d like be + what you’d like to experience all while having fun doing it.

you ain’t new to this, you’re true to this, fam!

you think you’d be here without exercising + practicing any of these at least once in your life?

don’t get caught up in all the labeling of actions or what you think they’re suppose to look like in real time.

find your way back to intention, back to the place where your unwavering focus is placed on the task at hand + you do what must with fervor + passion.

remember how it feels to encourage yourself,

to empower yourself,

to embrace yourself in all stages of figuring out life.

regardless of if it feels familiar or feels like this is new territory, you’ve been here + done this.

you’ve overcome challenges before + have used everything you’ve got to get to where you’ve wanted to be —

what makes this time any different?

be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:

when will you decide to appreciate how far you’ve come?

when will you graciously accept that you are “it”? that you have what it takes + that you can do what you’ve sought out to do?

today, in what ways will you show that you remember who the fuck you are at your core?
