you’re tired,
your bed is warm,
it’s dark, cold, + rainy outside,
you don’t feel like it,
you’d rather do something else instead,
+
you’ll do it later.
all excusable reasons for you not to do what must be done; however, these excuses, though valid to you, are nothing more than hot air spewing from your lips.
that gibberish may seem legit to you, but they don’t mean shit in the grand scheme of things, fam. 🤷🏾♀️
as the day starts, the day must end.
whether your 24 hours is the longest you’ve ever experienced or the shortest day in your life depends on the quality of work you’re willing to put into today.
further, when shit goes awry (as it sometimes will) remember that the day will end + “this, too, will pass”.
avoiding doing what you know must be done is only prolonging the process + creating more worry, more anxiety, more stress, + ultimately more excuses.
yes, you have reasons to not do what you must do + yes, it still needs to get done.
so what you gone do, fam?
take action, move with love + intention, + get things done!
you’re here today + have the opportunity to make a difference… do it!
be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:
what’s the real reason you keep holding back from getting things done? do you need help? if so, what do you need help with + did you ask for it? if it isn’t help you need, what exactly is the hold up + what do you need to make it “go time”?
