it doesn’t have to be your norm

how many times have you experienced a delay + felt angered by it?

a traffic jam,

a delayed flight,

even receiving an incorrect order can have a lot of us sucking our teeth, rolling our eyes, + fussing at anyone who crosses us during that time.

it’s a common reaction in today’s society, but it doesn’t have to the your norm.

you hold the power to change the atmosphere of your world.

it doesn’t require you unjamming the traffic or anything of the like, either.

approach the situation with a different perspective.

have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, that traffic jam can provide you with that much needed pause that you said you needed earlier?

that flight delay is the protective covering you prayed + petitioned for before boarding the flight?

perhaps that incorrect order is a way for you to have other options or a chance for you to learn how to speak up about an issue + to do it with patience + understanding?

however you wanna spin it, fam, do that.

the point is a situation we aren’t necessarily fond of doesn’t mean it’s negative + done specifically with us in mind to fuck up our day.

when you truly believe that all things are working for your good, there’s no time to be upset about circumstances we cannot control.

focus on what you can shift: your energy.

you can accept the situation for what it is without assigning a feeling to it.

“good” or “bad” — doesn’t matter.

you are here now, what will you do with what you’ve got?

remember you get to choose what attitude you carry with you through this process, all things are working for you, + you are powerful + fully capable.

be you, be dope!
