failing is the true flex

failure is unavoidable.

oh — you gon’ fail, fam.

looking at failure as an end all, be all is optional.

failing doesn’t mean you that what you’re willing + working for in your life won’t come to pass, it means that in this moment, that there is another way.

i’ve said it before + i’ll say it again + again + again:

failure is feedback.

it’s nothing more than a tool we can use to determine how off base or in alignment we are with who we are at our cores + with pursuing our desires.

living is full of peaks + pitfalls.

there’s no way everything we ever do in life will be flawless or without hiccups of some sort.

where there is no risk, there is no reward.

where we land in life is a matter of risking our current state of being for another we deem more suitable for ourselves.

go for what you know is for you.

work for it with an unrelenting vigor that failure is not a determining factor in whether or not you keep going + keep persisting.

finding the freedom in failing is the true flex.

not concerning yourself with what others think about what you’re doing,

not worrying about how a situation will work out,

+ not feeling attached to an outcome is freedom.

that’s exactly what accepting failure can offer you —

the freedom to live your life knowing every little thing is gonna be alright.

fail forward, knowing that when you do stumble + struggle, you are still in a better position than you were before you started this journey.

there’s always a chance you can fuck it all up + be 100% incorrect in your approach, + then there’s also the possibility that this next move can be your best move yet.

choosing to do nothing? well, that’s a risk in itself.

what do you have to lose, fam?

be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:

what would it take for you to fully surrender to failure? what do you stand to lose going for what you’ve always wanted in life?

what do you feel cannot be replaced should you decide to take the risk of being you in the most unapologetic way? are your feelings facts? if not, what can also be true?

can you stand to live without having what you may lose in the process of living life on your own terms? why or why not?
