for when you’re movin’ a little off kilter

the attitude you have towards others is a direct reflection of what’s manifesting inside of you.

when trouble’s a brewin’ + you’re movin’ a little off kilter, oh trust: folks be knowing!

it shows up in the way you interact with others.

it echoes in the ears of those who hear your voice.

it’s deafening in the most silent way —

long story short: we can tell, fam.

we all experience moments in which we don’t feel our best or act as our best selves.

in those moments, it’s important for us to remember that we gain nothing by putting someone else down, by demeaning them, or by lashing out on them simply because we aren’t feeling our best.

today, remember to step back, ground yourself, + uplift.

take a step back from the drama +/or the feelings that plague you in the moment.

you may not can escape your circumstance or situation, but you don’t have to allow negative feelings to overtake you.

ground yourself in goodness.

notice all that is around you + open your heart to gratefulness for this moment, for the opportunity to turn your life around + not steep in sadness + distress.

uplift yourself + others with your words, your actions, + your deeds.

allow the whole of you to see the whole of others + notice that like you, every one you meet is going through something in their lives.

this isn’t a request to hide how you feel, by all means: feel your feelings!

this is an encouraging word to work through the animosity, the disappointment, + the discomfort that comes with having an off day.

your attitude is yours, so choose wisely what you’ll say + be cautious in how you say it.

silence is always an option.

be you, be dope!
