your limitations are in your way.
stop tripping over yourself + make way for life to flow for you.
our limitations have a way of appearing in our lives as hard stops.
they are walls we have erected to shield us from disappointment, from failure, + from suffering.
these limitations can make life even more insufferable as they force us to learn acrobatics to get around them.
listen, i don’t know about you but i ain’t tryna bust my ass learning how to maneuver over + around something that i can easily remove.
today, i challenge you to question your current limitations, self-imposed or not.
who introduced this idea into my life? was it me or someone else?
when was this limitation placed into my life + does this wall i’ve built still need to be here?
what purpose does it serve?
who/what is it protecting?
why do/does they/it need protecting?
do i still believe this limitation is working for me + my highest good?
notice how on the other side of our limitations —
on the other side of our insecurities,
on the other side of our need to control outcomes,
on the other side of pigeon holing ourselves with labels + rules —
there are endless opportunities + boundless possibilities.
accepting that life can + will is liberating.
no matter what is thrust in our way, life has the opportunity of working out for us if we give it space to do its thang.
opening yourself up to more of what life has to offer means deconstructing the walls you’ve built to keep out certain parts of life.
there is no “good” without the “bad”, fam.
don’t allow your past disappointments to keep you from experiencing the goodness of today.
it is up to you to decide how much of life you’re willing to live + whether you’ll allow yourself to do it without limitations.
living life on your own terms is 100% on you.
whatchu gone decide to do?
be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:
pause for a moment + think of a hard “no, we ain’t doing that” you have in your life.
ex: rules regarding sex + foreplay, rules regarding asking for + receiving help, rules regarding work + career choices, rules of engagement, etc.
answer the following regarding said rule/limitation:
who introduced this idea into my life? was it me or someone else?
when was this limitation placed into my life + does this wall i’ve built still need to be here?
what purpose does it serve?
who/what is it protecting?
why do/does they/it need protecting?
do i still believe this limitation is working for me + my highest good?
slowly deconstruct the building blocks of the limitation. whether you keep it going is up to you, but at least you’ll uncover the “why” behind what you’re doing!
