how to repay someone you could never repay

when our nerves are shot + we are seemingly barely making it through a chaotic, energy zapping day, it’s far too common to give into the feeling of frustration.

before we know it, we’re snapping at someone or losing our shit over a minor inconvenience because we are fed up + overwhelmed.

kindness may not be the easiest choice to make in these situations.

at the same time, it is kindness that we must bring to these situations not because of the optics, but because of the lasting impact it can make.

we all depend on one another in some way, shape, or form.

showing kindness, no matter the situation, helps continue to build + solidify connections we have with one another.

kindness doesn’t give another person permission to mistreat you at your will, nor does it guarantee reciprocity.

however, because of how rarely it’s displayed these days, it’s an act that repayment may seem impossible to make.

i, like many others, have felt the effects of kindness + i can attest to having one of those “i could never repay you for your kindness” moments in life —

but what’s dope is that we can repay kindness + the best way to do it is by being kind to others.

what others do isn’t your decision to make.

how they act + react to your kindness isn’t on you, fam

today, remember you have choices.

choosing kindness may not be the easiest choice to make in the moment, yet it is still your choice to make, fam.

be you, be dope!
