which is more important to you: getting it done or doing it to perfection?
perfect doesn’t exist, fam.
no matter how much you chase it,
no matter how much you feel it is doable,
no matter how much you put off what needs to be done in the name of “the perfect time” —
perfection will not make way for you.
the simple fact that perfection is subjective can serve as a deterrent to strive for it.
by whose standards are you measuring yourself?
what makes them qualified to judge you in that way?
how will you live up to the expectations of others?
shit, how will you live up to your own expectations? which are sometimes way more harsh + unrealistic than what others may think of what you do.
give yourself space to learn, sis.
give yourself grace while your find your way.
give yourself an opportunity to move as freely as possible, to be open to what’s coming your way, + to fully accept that though you ain’t got all the answers you will keep pressing onward.
done is better than perfect.
whatever it is that you want, start working on it now.
there’s no shame in starting where you are
+
there’s certainly no shame in moving forth with what you have.
keep doing your best, fam!
be you, be dope!
