permission granted, fam.
oh, you didn’t know?
i’m giving you the stamp of approval to live your life in the way you’ve always desired.
that shit sounds silly because why do you need my approval?
don’t wait on me, on ya mama, on ya brother-sister + dem to start living your life, fam.
your quality of life is too important for you to put it in someone else’s hands.
decide for yourself.
you decide what you will tolerate.
you decide what you will entertain.
you decide your next step in life.
you can say, “such + such told me to do _____” to justify your current situation.
you can attempt to dodge accountability by constantly placing the blame on others for your actions.
but it still stands that your actions are your own.
you can wait for someone to throw you a lifejacket when you’re drowning so you can blame them for drowning or you can decide to start swimming as best you can to get out of your current situation.
yes, that swim may even look like doggy paddling your way out, but so what?
if that’s all you know, so be it. use it.
we can only do what we know until we learn otherwise, anyway.
all i’m saying is this:
acting on your own volition is a life-saving + life changing opportunity.
grant yourself permission to move freely + to enjoy the responsibility that comes with owning your own journey!
be you, be dope!
