say what? you’ve gotta do what first?

when does advice transition into action?

when have you learned enough to finally act on what you’ve learned?

what was that?

you’ve gotta do what first?

what did you say has to come through for you before you can take action?

lose 👏🏾 the 👏🏾 excuses 👏🏾!

yes, let’s call a spade a spade.

anything that you’re using to keep you from going for what you know you must do to live your fullest life on your own terms is an excuse.

ditch the excuses + start living the lifestyle you’ve always desired today, right now.

you’ve said you’ve always wanted to have reading nook —

start with creating a special space the corner of a room + when you take time to invest in a designated space, switch over to it.

in the meantime, start where you are.

you’ve said you’ve always wanted to consistently work out daily —

start by taking a 10-15 minute walk today.

wake up early to walk around your house or apt complex, or get to work a little earlier + walk around the building or parking lot.

eventually, you may opt to buy a walking treadmill to use while watching tv.

but, guess what you can do today? start where you are.

you’ve said you’ve always wanted to go on a friend’s trip —

start with calling your friends + communicating your intentions.

eventually, free your calendar +/or take the time off work.

whether it turns into a friend’s trip or not, it’s time off for you to use as you see fit.

start where you are.

you are creative, fam.

stop playing around allowing your excuses to strong-arm you like this.

you always find a way to do what you’ve want to do even when that requires sacrifices.

you hold the power to talk yourself out of whatever you’re passionate about doing.

you also hold the power to choose to dismiss your inner critic + go for whatever it is that you’ve always wanted.

it’s time to take action.

be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:

for every excuse you find yourself making, write it down + think of two (2) ways you can + will make it happen.

how many excuses did you find yourself making today? repeat this exercise for the remainder of the week.

as the week progressed, did your number of excuses increase, decrease, or stay the same? why do you think this occurred?
