the way you wanted or hoped it would go

because life is life + it be lifin’ all the time, things won’t always go the way you wanted or hoped it would go.

because you know this tid bit, you may feel inclined to hold back, especially when you feel a lack of reciprocity.

do your best + forget the rest, fam.

it’s not about taking the high road, either.

frankly, this has nothing to do with anyone else + what they’ve got going on —

who are you when no one’s watching?

are you still giving your all to the last second of a race, last beat of the drum, + last note of a song?

who cares what others are doing, giving, or reciprocating?

what you do + how you do it is on you.

you can choose to live differently with or without other’s support or approval.

how you hoped life would go isn’t what life is willing to give you right now.

so you keep going + don’t you damn stop, my friend.

use whatever life gives you to create the reality you want.

you’ve got the tools.

you’ve got the resources.

you’ve got everything you need to get started, fam.

nah — don’t hold back.

holding back gives you mediocre results at best.

give your all in this lifetime

+

enjoy the satisfaction of putting forth your efforts.

be you, be dope!

recall a time when you gave your half best.

what caused you to hold back? why?

how do you feel about taking that approach now with your current challenges?
