go too hard + you risk doing the most.
hold back too much + you risk leaving so much on the table.
find a steady pace.
feel like you are unabashedly giving your best efforts while simultaneously holding space for recovery + readjustment.
a steady pace keeps the energy even keeled + balanced.
it keeps our focus sharp, making it easier for us to pay attention to the task at hand with grave detail + precision.
think of pacing yourself for a mile run.
do you attempt to sprint the whole way?
hell no! you’ll find yourself burnt out + ready to give up!
then there’s the opposite end of the spectrum:
casually walking the whole way.
this pace can lack a sense of challenge + can put you at risk of feeling unfulfilled — again, ready to give up!
there’s a time + place for everything.
sprinting + casually walking both have a purpose, so tossing them out completely is premature + extreme.
focus on finding your footing at your pace, fam.
don’t worry about what everyone else is doing.
you don’t have to or need to catch up with any one else in order for your life to unfold the way your mind has conceived.
believe in yourself, believe in your abilities, + find yourself a steady pace to get what you want.
the lifestyle that you most desire to live requires both your best efforts + ample rest:
pace yourself.
be you, be dope!

journal prompt(s) for today:
finding a steady pace requires taking intentional steps.
choose + write down an area of focus (i.e. health, relationships, self-care, etc.). for the next 30 days, commit to journaling what you’re doing daily to keep that area of focus flourishing.
