your biggest challenge yet

compared to what you’ve already accomplished in life, what you’re currently taking on can seem minuscule or even your biggest challenge yet.

so stop it.

stop comparing where you’ve been to where you are now.

release the urge to judge your or others abilities to do hard things based on how great or small a situation may seem to you right now.

who are you to discredit how tough something is for you right now? who are you to discredit what others are going through?

hard things can look like getting out of bed in the morning.

hard things can look like finding time to exercise.

hard things can also look like forgiving someone + moving on with your life or learning how to walk after an accident.

what may be an easy step for you to take may be a hard step to take for someone else.

maybe you can walk upright with a smooth cadence.

however, a baby or toddler or a person who has had a hip replacement may not be able to walk with such ease + may walk with a little waddle.

it’s not about what the “hard thing” looks like to the naked eye.

it’s about your ability to persevere; to make it through in spite of.

acknowledge, right now, that you are capable of doing hard things;

that these hard things, no matter their appearance, are situations + circumstances that can keep you from living on your own terms.

however, you are choosing to conquer them today!

you don’t have to allow how small or insignificant something may feel in this moment to keep you from acknowledging that it takes real bravery to keep moving forward; to keep pressing on.

no matter how great or small they may seem, our efforts matter, fam.

realize you are doing your best in this moment + your best is all that you can do right now.

be you, be dope!
